Canterbury Christ Church University

Professional Practice (Psychological Perspectives)

The programme is structured so as to enable an individualised programme of study and research for each candidate, based around a specific chosen theme within their area of professional practice.

Entry requirements

Candidates will be required to demonstrate the potential to study at postgraduate level. Evidence usually includes a good 1st degree, 1st or 2.1 classification or equivalent. A relevant Master's degree would strengthen the application.

Assessment methods

For an MPhil the students are required to demonstrate that they can conduct an original investigation, test ideas (those of their own and others) and understand the relationship between the topic investigated and the wider field of knowledge. For a PhD, in addition to the above, the student's thesis should also make an original contribution to knowledge or understanding in their field of study.
