Production Engineering Management

This course provides for advanced study in the field of Production and Engineering Management. It aims to provide managers, engineers and business specialists with key insights in to production systems which operate in a wide range of organisations.

Entry requirements

The programme is designed for business, management and engineering graduates or professionals working within a related field. Applicants should meet one of the following:
Have an honours degree (2.2 or above) in a management, engineering or business related area appropriate to the programme.
Have an honours degree (2.2 or above) in an appropriate alternative discipline area.
Have exceptional and extensive work experience in production, engineering, supply chain, operations or logistics management.

Production and Operations Management 20 Credits; Engineering Project Management 20; Credits Quality Engineering & Management 20 Credits; Manufacturing Systems Engineering 20 credits ​; Systems Behaviour and Analysis 20 Credits; Strategic Decision Making 20 Credits; ​Dissertation 60 Credits;

Assessment methods

With the exception of the independent research project (dissertation), all module assessment is based upon 6,000 words or equivalent. Assessment methods are designed to give students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the programme.
