This course provides an opportunity for advanced design study in the context of a professional situation including opportunities to develop further career opportunities and to develop as managers, strategists and entrepreneurs.
Applicants will normally have achieved a 1st Class or 2nd Class upper division 1st degree in an appropriate subject, and/or equivalent professional standing or experience in a design discipline (based upon assessed Accredited Prior Learning or assessed Accredited Prior Experiental Learning), or a discipline associated with their programme of study. In addition, those students for whom English is not their 1st language are required to have IELTS or to have achieved an approved equivalent standard. Applicants are normally required to have achieved a minimum IELTS score (or the equivalent) of 6.5.
Modules include: context; exploration; realisation; research and ideas seminar.
Assessment is based on a combination of portfolio review, report and reflective-journal writing, vive voce and a final exhibition of work.
