Professional and Research Skills (Art and Design)

The programme offers a detailed and comprehensive introduction to the range of methods, strategies and debates which can apply to art and design professional practice and research; it is built around the 4 key areas of professional practice, research methods, research design, and the criticality that is essential for the generation of knowledge.

Entry requirements

Students will normally have achieved a 1st Class or 2nd Class upper division 1st degree in an appropriate subject, and/or equivalent professional standing or experience in a fine art discipline (based upon assessed Accredited Prior Learning or assessed Accredited Prior Experiental Learning), or a discipline associated with their programme of study.
