Art and Design
This programme will cater for students who wish to develop their academic and research knowledge from within the practical disciplines and wider academic fields of fine art and design. The programme offers the following pathways: art history through practice; art, science and technology; design futures; art and design ecologies; art and design philosophy.
Students will normally have achieved a 1st Class or 2nd Class upper division 1st degree in an appropriate subject, and/or equivalent professional standing or experience in a fine art discipline (based upon assessed Accredited Prior Learning or assessed Accredited Prior Experiental Learning), or a discipline associated with their programme of study. Students for whom English is not their 1st language are required to have IELTS or to have achieved an approved equivalent standard. Applicants are normally required to have achieved a minimum IELTS score (or the equivalent) of 6.5.
Modules include: question/ or research skills; idea; output; research and ideas seminars.
