Technology Project Management
Technological innovations are typically managed through the medium of a project; this programme enables a student to explore issues from conception of a technology via its implementation to eventual adoption; the blend of more generic project management competencies with specific technological awareness will provide a solid foundation for a future career as a manager of technological projects.
Applicants should have one of the following: an Honours degree at least 2.2 or its equivalent in a relevant area e.g. information systems or business studies; 5 years relevant work experience; applicants from other backgrounds are considered on an individual basis.
Modules inlcude: technology adoption; technology project management; technology legal issues; team software development project; business analysis; end user computing risk management; project management theory and practice; project management case studies; research methods for technology projects.
Assessment is based on coursework; written assignments; presentations; examination.
