Analytic and Modern European Philosophy

The programme offers postgraduate teaching in topics in analytic and modern European philosophy, and emphasises the enhancement of skills relevant to advanced philosophical research.

Entry requirements

1st or Upper 2nd class UK Honours degree, or equivalent in philosophy, either single Honours or joint Honours. Written work is required to be considered with the student's application. Applicants whose 1st language is not English are normally expected to meet the minimum university requirements (e.g. 6.5 IELTS).

Assessment methods

Assessment is by 4 essays of 4000 words each, 1 from each of the 4 assessed courses (1 core course and 3 options) and a dissertation of 15000-20000 words.
