This programme is designed to offer a flexible, innovative and individualised educational opportunity to meet the requirements of health, social care and relevant professionals within a developing evolving health care climate; the programme allows practising professionals from across the primary and secondary and tertiary care spectrum to demonstrate an increased level of competence through the development of advanced professional and clinical decision-making and leadership skills which will enable the delivery of evidence based care that meets the health and social care needs of individuals, families and society. There are 4 pathways: education for health professionals; safeguarding children; community health studies; and generic

Entry requirements

A 1st or higher degree from an approved institution, or a non-graduate qualification equivalent to graduation; relevant experience and continued professional development is required in lieu of a degree; applicants whose 1st language is not English or Welsh must satisfy the English Language requirements for entry to the university by attainment of a minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS no more than 3 years before the proposed date of entry; individual modules within the programme may have additional entry criteria due to the aims and learning outcomes of the module and/or due to NMC regulations.
