The course extends students' knowledge and understanding of medical illustration and develops the students' evaluative, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. There are two rroutes available, clinical photography and graphics for healthcare sciences.
Either a 1st degree or equivalent in photography, videography, film-based media or a media course majoring in these topics or a 1st degree or equivalent in graphic design and currently be practising as a medical illustrator.
Modules include: Methods of inquiry; professional practice in medical illustration; clinical photography; patient management in clinical photography; designing for print; designing for the screen; ophthalmic imaging; photography in cermatology; dental photography; surgical photography; surgical videography; website design; patient information leaflets; scientific posters.
