Ligands currently being developed include novel phosphines, particularly the important phosphine macrocycles and combined phosphine-carbene macrocycles, unique N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) and related species, and the development of chiral ligands for use in asymmetric catalysis; available research areas include: responsive systems, catalysis, imaging, applied spectroscopy, and materials chemistry for photovoltaic devices.
Good Honours degree or equivalent in chemistry or a related subject; applicants whose 1st language is not English are required to pass IELTS (6.5) or TOEFL exams.
