Decision Sciences

The overall aim of the course is to provide you with a broad and flexible education on the key methodologies in decision making within management across a range of areas within industry, the finance sector, government; the emphasis is on equipping you with the insight and ability to adapt to an ever developing field, rather than an in depth knowledge of specific methods and packages.

Entry requirements

A good (1st or Upper 2nd Class, or equivalent) 1st degree in a subject with a sound basis in mathematics, such as mathematics, physics, engineering and economics.

Course modules

Modules include: Managing risk and uncertainty; optimisation and decision making; game theory; agent-based modelling; evolutionary game theory.

Assessment methods

Assessment on is a mixture of coursework and written examinations.
