Advanced Practice in Health and Social Care (Long Term Conditions and Care)

The course is aimed at nurses and health, social work and social care professionals who are working with people with long term conditions in their homes, care homes or in the acute sector. Students are able to enhance their knowledge and develop their clinical, professional and research skills within an inter-disciplinary learning environment.

Entry requirements

A 2:1 degree or above; Current professional registration with relevant professional / statutory body or equivalent. At least one years' relevant practical experience as a health / social care / social work practitioner. References may be requested.

Course modules

Modules include: Introduction to research methods and applied data analysis; critical issues in advanced practice.

Assessment methods

Assessment is diverse and includes methods such as coursework, examinations, portfolios, case studies, reports, seminar presentations, skills schedules and objective structured clinical examinations.
