Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution
The course looks at how to manage litigation in a strategic and effective way, and provides a practice focused understanding of the growing importance of alternative ways of dealing with a civil dispute, such as mediation or arbitration.
A minimum of a degree in law of at least an Upper 2nd Class Honours; an appropriate professional qualification (Bar Professional Training Course or Legal Practice Course) and relevant experience is an advantage; applicants whose native language is not English require an IELTS score of 7 with a minimum of 6 in each area or equivalent.
Arbitration; civil dispute resolution options; strategy risk and costs; litigation (process and tactics in preparing for trial); mediation and negotiation.
Each module is assess by one 6,000 word paper or a practical skills performance. You are also required to complete a dissertation of 15,000 to 20,000 words.
