Air Transport Management
The course aims to develop managers who can develop a skill set to make a significant contribution at the appropriate level to aviation management in the 21st Century; emphasis is placed on the specific roles and skills of managers in problem-based real life situations; the programme offers students the opportunity to study core business topics alongside specialist modules that deal with operations and strategy in the complex and fast changing aviation industry.
Applicants need a minimum of a 2nd Class Honours degree in any subject; a relevant professional qualification of an equivalent level; a lower qualification plus appropriate and relevant working experience at a professional level; students whose 1st language is not English are required to have IELTS 6.5 or equivalent; alternatively, students are admitted with IELTS 6.0 if they attend a compulsory pre-sessional English course, operated by Coventry University following their Master's programme.
Modules include: Air transport planning, design and operations; air transport strategy and marketing; business simulation; financial decision making and risk analysis; human resource management; project management; logistics operations; study skills and research methods.
