Applied Sport and Exercise Science
This programme offers students the opportunity to develop their academic knowledge, skills and qualifications through evidence based critical debate and reflective professional practice relevant to the scientific study of sport and exercise.
The minimum entry requirements are a 2:2 degree classification at undergraduate level in Sport and Exercise Science or a related discipline (eg Sports Studies, Sport and Exercise Psychology, Sports Therapy, Sports Coaching, Exercise Science, Physical Education). Consideration will also be given to applicants from other cognate areas that overlap with sport and exercise sciences (eg physiotherapy, psychology) depending on the makeup of their undergraduate programme of study.
Modules include: Performance physiology; environmental exercise physiology; exercise, nutrition and obesity; current issues in sport and exercise psychology; physical activity, exercise and special populations; sport, exercise and cognitive performance.
