Advancing Physiotherapy Practice

This clinically focused course develops students' knowledge and skills in assessment, clinical reasoning and treatment, in the core areas of physiotherapy practice; the course aims to produce therapists who have strong clinical and communication skills, who can also influence practice and service delivery, working in line with government initiatives.

Entry requirements

Applicants will normally hold a UK equivalent of 2.1 degree in physiotherapy. Applicant with 2.2 degree equivalent and relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis. Students whose 1st language is not English should have achieved a minimum IELTS: Overall 6.5 with no component less than 5.5.

Course modules

Core modules: developing expertise in therapy professionals; research methodology, methods and design; evidence-based practice; advancing cardiorespiratory physiotherapy practice; advancing musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice; advancing neurological physiotherapy practice; research dissertation.
