Social and Health Care Leadership and Management
This course is designed for social and health care staff that are undertaking management roles in the voluntary, private and public sectors and assist and consolidate the development of management skills necessary for these fields.
A professional qualification in social work, health care profession or social care or equivalent. Plus an equivalent demonstration of relevant practice knowledge and ability to study at postgraduate level. Applicants for whom English is not their first language must also be able to demonstrate IETLS 6.5. You may need to attend an interview. Additionally, you will need access to a PC capable of running Windows XP, Internet Explorer 6 or above, Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint) or compatible software, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Broadband connection (4 mb/s recommended), Webcam (suggested) with microphone and speakers.
PGCert: Leadership and management theory and practice; managing the performance of individual and teams; managing change in dynamic environments. PGDip: Financial and resource management; social policy, quality and protection; promoting excellence through the application of theory: work based project. Master's: Applied research methodology; research project.
