Occupational psychologists apply the science of psychology in work-based settings.
Applicants must be eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society normally achieved by the completion of an appropriately accredited UK based undergraduate degree in psychology and possess an Honours degree in psychology at 1st class or Upper 2nd Class level; relevant work experience is also taken into consideration; applicants for whom English is not their 1st language must be able to demonstrate IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
Year 1: Personnel selection and assessment in organisations; research methods in psychology; the individual in the workplace. Year 2: Human-machine interaction; psychology of organising at work; training and development at work. Year 3: Dissertation in occupational psychology.
