Sports Law LLM
This course is at the forefront of sports law education in the UK. It combines the academic study of sports law with a very important practical dimension, which involves undertaking case studies in a number of modules. The course is designed for lawyers and non-legal professionals with an interest in the field of sports law, particularly those involved in sports management.
LLM: You should have a good honours degree or overseas equivalent, or an appropriate professional qualification. Some background knowledge of law is useful, but a degree in law is not essential. If English is not your first language, an IELTS score of 6.5 (including a minimum of 5.5 in each component) or equivalent is normally required.
Modules include: The sports regulatory regime and sports rights (core module); commercial aspects of sport; sport and ethics; sport, broadcasting and new media; sports governance; representing the athlete/player; event management; the sportsman and the courts.
