Research covers a range of literary periods with special interest in Shakespeare, his contemporary and modern reception; Chaucer; Spenser; Pope; Swift; Jane Austen; the mid Victorian novel, and the aesthetic and decadent movement; the 20th century is strongly represented, with interests in English and American poetry; popular fiction; modernism; the Avant-garde; women' writing and feminist theory; specialisms are: scholarly editing (including electronic publishing); children's books and text screen adaptions.
Master's degree or good degree in English or other humanities subject.
