Environmental Quality Management
This course is designed to meet the needs of practitioners within the environmental sector who wish to achieve a Master's; the modular approach allows students to progress at a pace to suit them, within defined boundaries; students collect credits for work completed giving the flexibility to stop and start as work and home life dictate; the course focuses on UK and European legislation and techniques suitable for a temperate climate; the course has been developed and restructured to meet the needs of a changing and demanding environmental field; 2 modules from 6 are completed for the postgraduate certificate and 4 for the postgraduate diploma; the final Master's year involves a dissertation.
Minimum 2.1 Honours degree in science, technology or environmental health or a related subject, from a recognised university or similar institution; professional membership, obtained by exam, of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management or the Institute of Waste Management; or diploma in Environmental Protection of the Royal Society of Health; or NEBOSH Environmental Diploma, or a recognised scientific society or engineering institution.
Core modules: integrated pollution prevention and control; water; air; waste; environmental management systems; health and safety.
