Housing Studies

This course has been developed to reflect the important role of housing organisations in a changing political and economic environment. Housing has a key role to play in the lives of individuals and communities and this course aims to equip housing professionals to deal with challenges facing the sector.

Entry requirements

A degree, relevant HND/HNC or 5 years relevant work experience in a managerial position; the programme team considers applicants from a range of other backgrounds. If English is not your first language, an IELTS score of 6.5 (including a minimum of 5.5 in each component) or equivalent is normally required.

Course modules

Modules include: Context of housing; housing organisation; housing research; public services and the customer; theories of housing; housing markets and state; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Assessment is entirely in the form of assignments; there are no examinations.
