Early Modern History
This programme seeks to equip students with historical research techniques and approaches, advanced skills in critical analysis and independent study, as well as strong and effective communication skills.
A 2.1 or GPA of 3.5, or equivalent. A first degree in History or a related subject is required. English language requirements include an IELTS score of 7.0 (with no element under 6.5) or equivalent.
Archives and sources; issues in early modern history; skill module; critical practice (15 credits); option module; dissertation.
Assessment takes place within the constituent modules of the course, and is by a variety of methods dependent on the nature of the module, including a dissertation.
