Islamic Finance

Students can conduct research in most areas of Islamic economics, banking and finance. As part of the degree programme students normally attend a module on Islamic economics and Shari'ah compliant finance. There are also weekly research support workshops.

Entry requirements

Master's degree in an appropriate subject or its equivalent; English language requirements include an IELTS total of 7.0 (with no component within that score lower than 6.5) OR TOEFL 102 (with no component within that score lower than 25).

Assessment methods

All PhD programmes are assessed by submission of a 100,000-word thesis and an oral examination.
