The programme offers true flexibility in part-time delivery, enabling applicants to blend the type of MBA experience that best suits their own individual needs. Applicants may choose to study entirely by distance learning, for instance, combining traditional textbooks and Durham-authored learning materials with online lectures, podcasts and a virtual learning environment. Alternatively, they may decide to take part in the block-taught MBA Residencies, interacting with faculty and peers in classrooms. Applicants may even elect to combine the 2 study modes to build a truly unique individual study experience.
A good university degree or equivalent professional qualification, or at least 3 years' (preferably 5) work experience since graduation of a supervisory or managerial nature. English Language requirements include an IELTS score of at least 6.5 (with no element below 6.0). TOEFL IBT socre of 92 (with no element below 23).
Core: Managing in the competitive environment; managing in the global environment; managing finance; managing people; improving management decision making; strategic management; methods of inquiry. You also study five elective modules plus a dissertation or business project.
Assessment is by examinations and dissertation.
