This course is for highly motivated graduates in management, or related areas, who are looking to enhance their subject knowledge and develop advanced research skills. The programme is particularly suitable for those who are aspiring to a career with a significant focus on management and/or organisational development. The programme provides students with a strong foundation for a career in management and immerses the student in contemporary business practice. Students learn how to lead innovation within an organisational context and develop advanced research techniques relevant to modern management. In addition, students enhance a range of transferable skills which allow them to work autonomously, plan and manage a substantial project, as well as collate, synthesise and communicate complex information effectively.

Entry requirements

To join this programme applicants should have a 1st or upper 2nd class Honours degree in a management or social sciences related discipline. In exceptional circumstances, students with a lower 2nd Class Honours degree who possess demonstrable knowledge of their subject matter may be admitted at the department's discretion. Overseas applicants are considered on an individual basis and will be expected to demonstrate IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules: Strategy, culture and change; organisational research; business planning and finance; entrepreneurship; success in the digital economy; innovation and organisational entrepreneurship; dissertation or the consultancy challenge.
