The MA/MDes Interaction Design programme will equip you with creative prototyping and programming skills with software and hardware to respond a range of design briefs dealing with human interaction in spaces, and through objects and interfaces. You will have the opportunity to shape your own ideas, concepts and theories through a self-directed Major Project, informed by design research and critical enquiry. This is the new title for MA/MDes Design (Interaction).
Bachelor (Honours) degree in an appropriate art & design discipline, computing or product design engineering; or evidence of industry experience in an appropriate discipline. All candidates are interviewed with a portfolio of creative work or technical projects. Applicants from overseas can be interviewed by teleconference with an online portfolio.
Modules include: design research methods; 3d prototyping; sketching in hardware and software; light art and projection; major project; dissertation or project report.
