This course offers the opportunity to develop and extend your knowledge of the design and implementation of computer networks. Blending hands-on technical knowledge with theoretical understanding, this course uses labs to provide direct access to advanced routers, switches, ISP emulators, VoIP telephony systems and wireless devices.
Bachelor (Honours) degree at 2.2 or above, or equivalent. We look for applicants to have a background computer science, software engineering, communications engineering or network computing in order to be eligible for the programme. We may also consider lesser qualifications if you have sufficient relevant work experience within the industry.
Trimester 1: Switching technology; routing technology; network security. Trimester 2: Network technology; advanced cloud and network forensics; host-based forensics. Trimester 3: Masters dissertation.
