Strategic Information and Communications Technology Leadership
This part-time course addresses the shortage of professionals with both ICT and business skills and will help you develop a more strategic and entrepreneurial approach to applying ICT in your organisation. Attendance is no more than one day per month.
Honours degree and 2 years work experience; experience working at a managerial level or have aspirations to do so in an organisation where ICT is key to business success. Candidates with ordinary degrees or non-degree level professional qualifications will be considered on the basis of their qualifications and experience. Additionally candidates whose first language is not English must possess a minimum IELTS score of 6.0. Candidates with recognised prior learning will be considered on an individual basis.
Year 1 - trimesters 1-3: Work based learning. Trimester 1: Leadership, learning and development. Trimester 2: 1 optional module: e-security (dl); digital markets; web-enabled business; management of software projects; managing knowledge; enterprise information systems with sap; sources of competitive advantage; growth venture management; creativity to sustainability. Trimester 3: 1 optional module: management of software projects; digital markets; Year 2 - Trimesters 1 and 2: MSc dissertation.
