Heritage and Cultural Tourism Management
Students develop organisational and business skills that relate particularly to cultural aspects of tourism, through lectures, guest speakers and case studies. Applicants study the issues and concepts involved in the industry; as well as marketing practice and heritage considerations, formulating policy, and planning for the future, as well as developing abilities in research; time management, and presentation methods.
Bachelor (Honours) degree at 2.2 or above. We look for applicants to have a background in any discipline in order to be eligible for the programme. We may also consider lesser qualifications if you have sufficient relevant work experience within the industry.
Trimester 1: Tourism concepts and issues; managing heritage tourism; tourism marketing; research methods. Trimester 2: Tourism society and visual culture; industry project; research methods; plus options. Trimester 3: A dissertation.
