Theory of Podiatric Surgery
Podiatric Surgery has evolved rapidly over the last 15 years in post-registration professional development. This programme provides qualified podiatrists academic underpinning for practical pupillage in podiatric surgery.
Modules include: Anatomy for surgical practice; principles of diagnostic investigations; podiatric mechanics; medicine and pathology; pharmacology for podiatric surgery and prescribing rights; diagnostic imaging for podiatrists (interpretive); research methods in health and social care at Glasgow Caledonian University or research methods 1 and 2 at Queen Margaret's University College, Edinburgh.
Assessment methods include coursework plus examination, or coursework only and dissertation.
