This degree offers practitioners in risk management, and related areas, the opportunity to update or enhance skills and knowledge by achieveing a high quality, postgraduate qualification.
UK Honours degree 2.2 or equivalent in a relevant subject; if you do not have the necessary formal entry qualifications, the University's flexible entry policy considers credit transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), including work-based experience and credits from recognised professional bodies; international students whose 1st language is not English are required to demonstrate evidence of satisfactory competence by completing an Academic IELTS test with a score of at least 6.0 (with no element of the score less than 5.5) or by holding another recognised qualification.
Modules include: Enterprise risk and modelling; global perspectives on risk; risk financing and insurance; business continuity and crisis management; ethics and corporate governance; personal and professional; development; research methods; dissertation.
Assessment is continuous; a combination of formative and summative assessment and by a variety of methods including: Case studies, portfolios, essays and reports.
