International Events Management
Normally a 2.2 Honours degree in a related area (e.g. business management, marketing, events, sport, tourism, hospitality). Applications from students with other backgrounds (e.g. Social Sciences) will also be considered. For applicants who do not have the necessary formal entry qualifications, the University's flexible entry policy considers credit transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), including work-based experience. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 (with no element of the score less than 5.5) or equivalent.
Core modules: Global strategy (challenges and choices); contemporary issues in business and society; personal and professional development; sport event tourism; event experiences; events, place and society; research methods; dissertation.
The programme is assessed via various forms of coursework including: Essays; reports; presentations; case studies.
