Citizenship and Human Rights

This course is designed for professionals and volunteers in the Third Sector and Public Sector interested in, or working to promote the principles of human rights, including anti-discrimination, participative democracy, accountability and social responsibility. As well as exploring human rights issues you will gain an understanding of how globalisation has altered the labour market and understand valuable leadership and social responsibility practice.

Entry requirements

Normally a UK Honours degree 2.2 (or equivalent). For applicants without a degree, entry to the programme may also be gained on the basis of recognition of informal prior learning and work-based experience. For this programme, students must be in full-time or part-time employment or a sustained volunteering position within a broad field of human rights or social justice. Students whose 1st language is not English require an Academic IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) is required, with no element less than 5.5.
