This programme provides a comprehensive understanding of digital marketing strategies, policies and practices. Central to the programme are its industry relevance and responsiveness - values that will ensure students receive a commercially focused and practical learning experience, incorporating current academic thinking, theories and cutting-edge marketing practices. Students gain an understanding of key areas of digital marketing centring on consumer behaviour, marketing planning, branding and use of digital technologies. You will develop practical and creative skills including: email marketing, search engine optimisation, online PR and affiliate marketing, and maximising social media.
Normally a UK 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent. For applicants who do not have the necessary formal entry qualifications, the University's flexible entry policy considers credit transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), including work-based experience. Academic IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) is required, with no element less than 5.5.
Modules include: Consumer-led digital marketing; strategic decisions in the digital marketplace; digital branding design and development; global strategy (challenges and choices); personal and professional development; contemporary issues; research methods; dissertation.
