This MSc equips you with the skills necessary to fully understand cloud and modern mobile computing using industry standard platforms such as Java and .NET. the programme is hosted by the Software Engineering Group within the department of Computing Communications and Interactive Systems.

Entry requirements

UK Honours degree 2.2 (or equivalent) in computer science or computer engineering; if entry requirements are not met a place may be offered on the MSc Information Technology programme, subject to availability.

Course modules

Advanced software development and application lifecycle management; project management; research methods and ethics; mobile and ubiquitous computing; web services and cloud computing; Master's project.

Assessment methods

Assessment is used to demonstrate achievement of learning outcomes. Methods of assessment include unseen written examinations, coursework assignments (individual and group-based) and written class tests and/or reports. When assessing the MSc, the project, dissertation and presentation are all expected deliverables.
