The MRes course is a research-led Master's course that gives students the opportunity to select specialist options from their MSc programmes, together with an in-depth research project, helping students to develop their research skills.

Entry requirements

An honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline.

Course modules

Modules include: research methods; dissertation; options (2 modules from): sustainable design and innovation; electrical power and distributed generation; advanced electronic design and testing; digital communication systems; aircraft avionics systems.

Assessment methods

Assessment is based a variety of methods including practical work, portfolios, presentations and, for certain subjects, examinations.
