This programme has been designed to provide a flexible course involving taught and research modules which can be tailored to help students pursue an area of interest; as part of the course they have the opportunity to complete a negotiated learning module which allows them to tailor their degree to their specific career aim or topic of interest; for example they may wish to undertake an applied placement in preparation for BASES Supervised Experience, develop a range of marketing materials to publicise health/fitness events, or complete a work-based case study.
A 2.2 Honours degree or above in the field of sport and exercise science or a relevant discipline; applicants with a non graduate qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience in a responsible position which is relevant to the field of study considered on an individual basis.
Modules include: Research methods 1 (qualitative); research methods 2 (quantitative); research methods 3 (action research); negotiated module; dissertation.
Assessmenrt is based on a variety of ways including the opportunity to tailor some assessments to the student's own requirements.
