This course provides a range of routes to enable you to develop specialist knowledge and the opportunity to meet the vocational aims of practitioners within a variety of clinical disciplines. The range of routes enables the course to be flexible and cater to the needs of individual students and is available as a postgraduate diploma and the health sciences as a postgraduate certificate. You will explore health and healthcare as human experience mediated by individual, societal and global contexts, requiring a reflexive and critical evaluation of factors affecting health and its representations. The general Health Sciences route will enable you to develop a broad based knowledge with the opportunity to include optional modules to suit your personal interests. Our named routes in Community Health, Public Health and Society, Palliative Care and Healthcare Leadership, give you the opportunity to learn specialist skills and knowledge, many of which are essential for some practitioners working within disciplinary boundaries.
