2.1 Honours degree in an appropriate subject such as: fine art; graphics; new media; computing sciences; or a more theoretical social science degree such as: anthropology; art history; cultural theory; media and communications or sociology; alternatively an experiential background in new media such as: developing non-linear media products; applicants must demonstrate an ability to engage with cultural theory.
Students take core courses in: interactive media: critical theory and media; culture industries; interactive media: practical methods; options include: new media and society; cultural theory; methods of cultural analysis; politics and culture; visual anthropology.
Essays; practical projects; dissertation: including an integrated major practical project and 6000 word essay.
