Secondary Education (Chemistry, flexible route)
This course is run on a modular basis; the course leads to recommendation for the award of QTS; this is provisional until satisfactory completion of an induction period in the trainees' 1st post.
An undergraduate or postgraduate degree at least 50 per cent of content should be in the proposed teaching subject; GCSE grade C or above in English language and mathematics; an enhanced disclosure certificate from the Government�s Criminal Records Bureau (CRB); an occupational health questionnaire.
Subject study 1; general professional studies; school induction and needs analysis; school experience 1; school experience 2; subject study 2; trainees spend 24 weeks of the course in schools.
