Research interests of staff include: Caribbean women's literature; Caribbean literature; history of criticism; medieval literature and iconography; modernist and post-modernist fiction; American literature; 19th- and 20th-century literature; modernist American writing; linguistic theory and history; literature and the visual arts and Anglo-French cultural relations; creative writing; English literature from the 16th century to the present day; modern Francophone literature; children's literature.

Entry requirements

1st degree of at least upper 2nd Class standard/Master's degree in an appropriate subject; graduates in an unrelated field, you may be considered subject to a qualifying interview and/or submission of sample essays; suitable proficiency in English and (where applicable) in the languages(s) required for your research is an essential requirement.
