Digital Media (Technology and Cultural Form)
The course offers 2 pathways: pathway 1 is a theory programme where students learn about developments in digital media and technology from a wide range of perspectives; pathway 2 is a theory and practice programme where they improve their skills, understanding and experience in 1 of the following areas: documentary; digital photography and image making; journalism; writing.
2nd Class degree in a relevant discipline; degree in an unrelated field also considered subject to qualifying examination; where 1st language is not English IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent is required.
Core modules: digital media: critical perspectives; technology and cultural form: debates, models and dialogues; dissertation; plus 4 option modules.
Seen take home paper; essays; dissertation of 12-15000: or a practice/theory project in the area of documentary; digital photography and image making; journalism or fiction with an accompanying analysis of 3-4000 words.
