Research areas include: performance and event: understanding contemporary cultural production; sexual interests: the libidinal dimensions of visual culture; philosophy and critical theory: philosophical aesthetics and modern and contemporary French and German thought; global counter-geographies: issues of geography, postcolonialism, cultural difference, and global circulation in relation to both the ever-broadening intellectual tradition.
