The programme in Biotechnology will provide students with a sufficiently broad range of both fundamental principles and innovative practices in the subject to be able to apply their knowledge proficiently in the relevant industries; the biotechnology industry is a diverse sector ranging from food and beverage production to the production of novel pharmaceuticals.
Candidates must hold a 1st or 2nd Class Honours Degree or equivalent qualification from a British or approved overseas university (preferably in a biological science, chemistry or chemical engineering); for diploma level entry, candidates must hold a degree, preferably at Honours level. The minimum requirement for English language is IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
Food biotechnology; project studies; marine biotechnology; production management; MSc research project; plus 4 option courses.
