Business Strategy, Leadership and Change
The course has been designed to equip the next generation of organizational managers with skills, which include business strategy, strategic change, leadership, systems thinking and analysis, project management, business economics, demand and inventory planning, and quality management and engineering. The programmes has a multidisciplinary approach to managing an organization to provide students with rich managerial and organisational insights. Furthermore, the programme aims to develop a critical understanding of the disciplines involved by exploring the nature of thinking strategically and the role and function of leadership in strategy formulation, implementation and change.
A good Honours degree (1st or 2nd class) or its non-UK equivalent in a relevant subject from a recognised British or overseas university. The minimum requirement for English language is IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) with no component lower than 6.0.
Semester 1: business models: themes and issues; leadership; strategic change; competitive strategy. Semester 2: research philosophy and practice. 3 from: business economics; demand and inventory planning; international trade law; managing diversity in business; project management; quality management and engineering; strategic marketing; system thinking and analysis; supply chain risk and adaptation.
