This course provides an entry route for students interested in the 2 taught Master's courses offered, but whose mathematical background is not yet strong or detailed enough to cope with the complex topics covered in the Master's courses.

Entry requirements

Graduate certificate: 2nd Class Honours Degree in a subject with some mathematical content; graduate diploma: Honours Degree in a subject with some mathematical content or ordinary degree in a subject with a strong mathematical content.

Choose 4 units: abstract algebra; project preparation and skills; vector analysis; pure mathematics b; statistics for social science; statistical models a; stochastic processes; choose 4 units: ordinary differential equations; complex analysis; numerical analysis b; applied mathematics b; statistical models b; Bayesian inference and computational methods.
