Social Entrepreneurship

This practical programme is focused on how to apply business skills to important global social problems; students learn how to deploy innovative business solutions to large-scale social issues; the programme gives students the skills necessary to engage in successful issue-advocacy, problem-solving innovation, and project development.

Entry requirements

Successful applicants generally possess a Bachelor degree or equivalent, and have English proficiency; applicants whose 1st language is not English require a TOEFL or IELTS score or equivalent; applicants are required to take the Graduate Management Admission Test.

Course modules

Core modules include: individual skills; team skills; managerial skills; the landscape of social entrepreneurship; toolbox accounting and toolbox mathematics; global crises; entrepreneurship; sustainability; social innovation; development economics; financing social enterprises; project framing and bid writing; stakeholder management. Optional modules including: global political economy; corporate social responsibility; change management; disruptive business models; entrepreneurial finance; international negotiations; new product development; foreign market entry strategy.
