Behavioural Finance

This programme provides particular focus on behavioural finance, an interdisciplinary field which integrates psychology and financial economics. The study of finance and psychology progresses through the programme so that students obtain a critical grasp of core theory along with thorough knowledge, skills of application and analysis.

Entry requirements

Minimum 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent from an overseas institution in any discipline; applicants must have a satisfactory existing level of numeracy; for students whose 1st language is not English an IELTS score of 7.0 with no less than 6.0 in each individual components is required.

Course modules

Modules include: introductory quantitative methods for finance; fixed income and equity investments; securities, futures and options; financial markets; introduction to psychology for finance; behavioural economics; behavioural finance; human motivation; psychology of invidual and team development of organisations; applying qualitative methods in psychological research.
