The course provides a foundation in subjects such as business economics; organisational behaviour; strategy; marketing and innovation; management and entrepreneurship; students have the option to take pathways in globalisation, sustainability in business and corporate social responsibility, digital business and innovation and design in the spring term.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree in a science or engineering subject; or overseas equivalent; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require: GCSE, IGCSE, GCE O-level or equivalent at grade C; or Cambridge certificate of proficiency in English (CPE) at grade C; or IELTS score of 7.0 with a score of 6.5 or better in the written and speaking section; or TOEFL paper minimum score of 610 (test of written English (TWE) of 4.5 or more); or TOEFL computer minimum score of 250 (TWE of 4.5 or more); or TOEFL internet minimum score of 100 overall, including a minimum of 24 in the written section and a minimum of 22 in the speaking section.

Course modules

Modules include: Accounting; business economics; international marketing; strategic management; finance; innovation management fundamentals; organisational behaviour and human resource management; project management and entrepreneurship; business plan competition; business simulation exercise; consulting project course and management essay.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by 5,000-word essay on a relevant management topic.
